Dog Puppy Training
Dog puppy training aids are the perfect way to bring your pride and joy through their growing phase with the least amount of drama. How do you feel when your puppy soils your favorite floor surface. Let’s not go there!
Pups by their very nature are playful and full of inquisitive behavior. They are also on a learning curve so teaching them what’s not right at a young age will generally mean you’ll end up with a very well behaved dog as an adult. You want them to be part of your family environment and would do anything for them so why not start by helping them to understand early with puppy training aids.
In this article, we’ll look at some of the training aids which are available and helpful in educating your pup and keeping him on the good side of “mom and dad.”
Cleaning up after a puppy has become a past time for many people and the truth is, don’t get upset but understand that the animal doesn’t really know any better unless you provide them with an alternative. And the house training pad is a good choice.
They are backed by plastic or other material of a waterproof nature which prevents moisture leaking all over your floor. A sponge absorbs the moisture and prevents it from running everywhere. Just put the pad in an area of the house out of the way of people traffic and encourage your pup to use it. Eventually, it becomes second nature to them Many house training pads are also scented.
It’s a good idea to reward the pup every time you see him using his training pad. Why? Because he’ll soon understand that when he does, there is a treat waiting for him. Another aid to discourage soiled floors is house training odor sprays. You spray the spot where you want your pup to do his business. If he doesn’t quite get the training pad idea then spray it with the odor product. You need to experiment a little but eventually you’ll find what works.
One more option is house training litter. It is a litter box the dog will come to recognize as his place of personal business and these are great for animals who spend most of their time inside. Dog puppy training aids are an excellent way to teach your puppy early but unless you learn to reward them when they do the right thing it may be all to no avail.
